The Official Bachelor’s Degree in Design at ESD Madrid is a four-year programme that offers students the opportunity to develop ideas that create impact and drive change, using design as a tool to rethink the visual society around us.

We live in a world surrounded by objects, systems, and processes created by humans. Designers have the power to generate change through their work, influencing everyday life and shaping behaviours, from the micro to the macro level. Today’s graphic designer is much more than a creator of visually appealing images. We understand the designer as a multidisciplinary professional, capable of translating complex ideas into clear and powerful visual messages that connect people and communicate values.

Our Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design prepares you to become a visual communicator with critical thinking and social awareness. You will learn to solve problems creatively and to use design as a tool for change, exploring everything from typography to brand identity and digital design. Studying at ESD means developing a strategic mindset and interdisciplinary skillset that will allow you to influence culture, propose innovative solutions, and contribute to a more inclusive and connected world.

Internships in Companies

Professional internships are a mandatory requirement during the final year of the degree and offer students the opportunity to connect directly with leading companies in the design sector. Through established agreements with a variety of organisations, students can apply their knowledge in a professional environment aligned with their academic training.

Each internship is structured to integrate classroom learning and strengthen professional skills in a real-world context. Tutors and programme coordinators guide the process to ensure that every student finds a placement aligned with their profile and interests, while supervising their progress throughout the experience.
